My alma mater, Penn State University, is opening their football season against Florida International University, which I have NEVER heard of, and suspect this is an uncalled for slight against a Big 10 school. It sounds like one of those Internet schools, which means the game may be played using last year’s copy of Madden NFL Football, or may take place in Second Life. At least there, Coach Paterno is less likely to get injured on the sidelines.

And in today’s Boston Globe, there is the headline: “Whitworth sits out practice“, which is hard to say without saying something wrong. “She sells sea shells by the sea shore while Whitworth sits out practice.” Go ahead. Say that five times fast.

[UPDATE] Cnet has a headline this morning: “Will update drive Vista use?” which, even after reading it seven times, sounds like it was written by Yoda.
